The government’s increasing immigration carbon footprint

UK immigrationReports in the telegraph that immigration is fuelling the biggest rise in Britain’s population for almost 50 years, official figures show. Within a decade, there will be 65 million people in the UK - an increase of five million. By 2028, the population will be over 70 million and reach 71 million by 2031, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) predicted. This is the fastest growth rate since the post-war baby boom. But unlike in the 1950s and 1960s, the main cause of the rise is immigration. Foreign settlers are adding to the population and, because they are younger, are pushing up the fertility rate.

Statisticians said immigration would be responsible for at least 70 per cent of the rise in population over the next 20 years.

The government has failed miserably to keep these immigration figures in check, and there are still many illegal immigrants running around Britain which they cannot find. Maybe we should let the DVLC take over where the Home Office is failing, after all the DVLC reports to know the exact where abouts of all cars in the UK and whether it’s taxed or not?

In the new ‘green’ society, the poor British taxpayer is penalised if they don’t improve their carbon foot print, penalised for driving gas guzzling 4×4s (event though the government does….oh sorry they don’t have to pay the road tax like us mere mortals) and penalised for not recycling waste (faster than Tesco’s can wrap produce).

So by allowing immigrants into the UK unchecked and then losing their whereabouts (especially the terrorist variety) aren’t the government actually increasing Britain’s carbon footprint by not acting? So basically every attempt of the British taxpayer to help save the environment is counteracted by the government, by allowing immigration to continue, no doubt, with the huge increase in immigration figures, the poor taxpayer will have to pay through the nose (as per..).
