Naff week for English sport

Lewis HamiltonThank God it’s Monday. Never thought I would ever say that!

After watching England football team lose to Russia, just about ending any hopes of qualification for Euro 2008, I didn’t think the week could get any worst. How wrong could I be?

England rugby team lose the World Cup to South Africa in a hard fought battle in Paris. Hats off to the lads, they gave their all in a thrilling close run final. The weekend’s nightmare continued with Lewis Hamilton having another misfiring race to finish 7th and hand the World Championship to Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen, his first or what could be many.

The only consolations to me was my home team won away from home, yea…. and the whinging Fernando Alonso didn’t pinch the title from Lewis!

So here’s a big thank you for all the lad’s efforts, excluding Mr McClaren, who just needs sacking.
